Module Description: International Banking 1

Instructor: Prof. Dr. Richard A Werner

In this Semester 1 module students learn about the ‘micro’ and more applied side of international banking, including the role of financial institutions as in traditional macroeconomic textbooks (e.g. the lending technology and other instruments that banks use). It covers the key relevant market places, including the money market, tools and techniques deployed, including spot, forward and option transactions and futures. Further it covers hedging techniques, and standard lending practices.
