We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Werner gave an open lecture at the Higher School of Insurance and Finance on the topic of "The Economics of High Prosperity and Growth for All" on December 6th, 2024. 

His open lecture included a critical discussion on research methodology in economics, the role of banks in theoretical frameworks and contrapositioning them against their real world activities, the key role of banks in determining the boom-bust cycles in the global economy and a wider Q&A discussion on Japan, monetary policy, changing dynamics of the global monetary system.
